The Welles Park Advisory Council is getting ready for another amazing year. Check out the events below throughout 2025:
Spring
Bird Walks of the Nature Play Area take place most weekends April – June. Starting at 7:30 am from the Gazebo, click here to find dates and other details
April 5th, 2025 – 9:00 am – noon – Park Work Day – Please volunteer to help the Welles Park Greening Committee clean up the park and add much needed mulch (wood chips) to the trails and play areas of the Nature Play Area.
Meet at the East end of the Nature Play Area. Join us for all or part of the morning. All ages welcome. Student service hours offered. We will supply tools and gloves but if you can bring extra tools that would be very helpful. (wheelbarrows, scoop shovels, pitch forks, metal rakes). Sign Up Here
Wednesday, April 16, noon – 1:00 pm – Welles Bunny Hop – Join us for a hopping good time at our Bunny Hop event designed especially for children under 6 years old! Get ready for a day filled with fun games, bouncing excitement in the bounce house, a creative art craft project, an egg hunt to find sweet surprises, and don’t forget to strike a pose and take a picture with the Bunny himself! Bring your little ones for an unforgettable day of laughter and joy!
Saturday, June 7th – 47th Ward EcoFest – Join community and environmental leaders from across the Ward and Chicago-land for this annual celebration of a safe, healthy, and bountiful environment.
Tuesday nights at 6:30 – June 17 – early August – Gazebo Concert Series will start mid June and run throughout the summer. Full Schedule LINK.
