An Update on the Welles fields

Welles Park Advisory Council

The Park Advisory Council has been in communication with the Park District and the Welles Park Parents Association baseball and softball league regarding the ongoing work to the turf fields on the East side of the park. These areas make up the outfield of the diamonds used by WPPA and adult softball leagues. The original letter from CPD can be found here. A recent update was just provided and the Park District’s goal is to have the area available by July 1st. This should not impact the Gazebo Concert series, Nights Out in the Park programming or any areas in the West half of the park.
