Welles Park Advisory Council is partnering with the Chicago Parks Foundation’s “Pitch In for the Parks” cleanup campaign this fall. There are two of these scheduled but you can help out anytime! Read below to learn more.
Scheduled clean up days – We need help to tidy up the park and get it ready for the winter. We will be raking out woodchips in the playground and NaturePlace, collecting all the NaturePlace play items, and cleaning up litter from around the park.
October 17 8-10 am
November 8 8-10 am
Can’t make one of those days but want to volunteer? Pitch In on your own!
Chicago Park Foundation encourages you to do your part every time you visit your neighborhood parks! Don’t litter, and pick up trash safely by bringing along a trash bag and gloves. The extra effort is welcomed and appreciated – every bit helps!
Send your “pitch in” photos to us at info@chicagoparksfoundation.org or tag them on Instagram @ChiParksFdn
Organize a Clean Up
If you want to organize a clean up at Welles with your group (block club, school, scout pack) you can! Gather your neighbors, coworkers, religious group, friends, family – all are welcome. Contact us at wellesparkac@gmail.com to get access to clean up materials.
